Dr. John McGettigan

Dr. John McGettigan, having recently retired from the active practice of medicine is the Chief Executive Officer and driving force behind Quality of Life Medical Center, which he founded in 2000, specializing in men’s health and general medicine. While building QLMC, he noted synergies between the medical center and research and went on to found Quality of Life Medical and Research Center in 2001.

With more than two decades of clinical trials under his belt, he has successfully led more than 200 clinical trials for a variety of Contract Research Organizations and research sponsors. In this role he oversaw the execution of the Moderna COVID vaccine trials, with QLMRC ultimately enrolling more participants than any other site in the United States.

Dr. Brian McCabe M.D.

PAIN MANAGEMENT AND ADDICTION MEDICINE

Dr. Brian McCabe received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University in 1986. In 1991 he obtained his M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine and spent three months gaining surgical experience at the Raleigh Fitkin Memorial Hospital in Manzini, Swaziland, Southern Africa.

Dr. McCabe moved to Tucson in ’91 and completed his internship at TMC and Anesthesia Training at the University of Arizona from 92-95. He was initially in private practice with Rincon Anesthesia, specializing in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia and Pain Management, before accepting a position at the Tucson VA Medical Center as a director of Cardiothoracic and Pain Management Services.

Dave Stevens began his career as a physician assistant in 1997 in Yuma, AZ working with an orthopedic spine surgeon. He has extensive experience evaluating and treating all back and neck pain. This background has made him familiar with all types of conservative treatment options and the risks and benefits of surgical treatments.

In 2009, he began working with an interventional pain management specialist. In pain management, he found a niche that suited his compassionate personality. His knowledge and expertise allow him to help people have an enjoyable and productive life despite their chronic pain. He tries to show people other ways to control their pain besides pain medication implementing referrals to physical therapy, psychology, psychiatry, stress reduction, and even surgery when indicated.

Cindy Finch Benoy MSN, FNP-C

MSN, FNP-C

Cindy Finch Benoy, MSN, FNP-C is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner who has been in private practice in both Chandler, AZ, and now Tucson, AZ. She completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing Leadership and her Post-Masters Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.

Her clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner has been in Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Thyroid Disease and treatment, and Primary Care. Her Primary Care focus is Health Promotion and Disease Prevention through early diagnosis and lifestyle modification through diet and exercise.

Her RN experience before completing her Nurse Practitioner training includes 30 years of Critical Care Experience ranging from Adult Trauma and Liver, Kidney, and Pancreas Transplants in Miami, Florida, to Medical and Cardiac Care Nursing in Maryland, Georgia, and now Arizona.

Energetic, effective, and collaborative, Cindy has an engaging communication style and the ability to think critically in a vast arena of both critical care and primary care situations.

Cindy not only accepts new patients but also works closely with all providers here at Quality of Life and welcomes one-time visits to provide continuity of care when your usual provider is unable to see you immediately. She will also be conducting Annual Wellness Visits.

Ida Heath RNP medical provider

Ida was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After high school, she received a bachelor of science in mathematics and taught high school mathematics for nine years. She then went to nursing school and received a bachelor of nursing degree and a master of science in nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado. She worked as a medical/surgical nurse in hospital settings starting in 1982. She moved to Tucson, AZ, in 1994 and received a postgraduate certificate as a nurse practitioner from the University of Arizona in 1996.

As a nurse practitioner, Ida has worked in internal medicine and occupational health and has been practicing pain management since 2010.

Kim has been a fixture at Quality of Life for 12 years, starting at the front desk and working her way up to the Office Manager’s position. If there is one person that holds it all together for us, it’s Kim.

Born in Michigan, Kim moved to Tucson in 1972 and has called it home since. Before taking the position of Office Manager, Kim directed all human resource functions at the clinic, obtaining her Human Resources Management Consultant certificate. Kim is totally committed to creating an excellent experience for every patient, every time, and wants you to know that your wellness and care are her number one priority.
